About Us

A community of friends serving with dignity

Happy Mitra Foundation began with a handful of friends distributing food packets at a railway station. Today our volunteers run daily meal drives, education kit distributions, and elder-care support across urban slums and villages — always with dignity, never with charity photographs of shame.

Our Mission

To ensure no one in our communities sleeps hungry, no child drops out for want of a school bag, and no elder is left uncared for.

Our Vision

A dignified, equal India where food, education and elder care are a shared responsibility, not a privilege.

Our Values

Compassion first, complete transparency, community ownership, and accountability for every rupee we receive.

Our Mission

Four promises we keep every single week

Every programme we run answers one question: what does this family need today to live with dignity?

Feed Hungry People

Freshly cooked meals, ration kits and community kitchens for daily-wage workers, homeless families and patients' attendants.

Support Poor Children

School bags, books, notebooks, pens, uniforms and learning materials so no child stops studying for lack of supplies.

Help Elderly People

Monthly food support, medicines, blankets and regular home visits for elders living alone or without income.

Community Welfare

Health camps, winter relief, disaster response and skill sessions that help whole neighbourhoods stand on their own.

Our Programs

Success Stories

Lives changed, in their own words

My daughter was going to stop school because we could not buy books. The Happy Mitra team gave her a bag, uniform and notebooks. She stood first in her class this year.

After my husband passed away I had no income. Their volunteers bring ration every month and check on me. They feel like my own family.
Kamla BenBeneficiary, Elder Care Programme
I joined for one weekend drive and never stopped. The accounts are shared openly with volunteers — that trust is why I still give my Sundays.
